About the Team The Business Marketing team helps organizations understand, adopt, and get value from OpenAI’s products. We work across product marketing, content, creative, and web to connect what our technology can do with the needs of the people and businesses using it. About the Role We’re looking for a Senior Web Experience Strategist to shape the customer journey across openai.com . You’ll help audiences ranging from individual developers to large enterprises discover what’s possible, find relevant information, and take the right next step. You’ll think through the full experience: how people arrive, explore products and use cases, learn through content, and move toward getting started or speaking with OpenAI. You’ll shape how navigation, content, and storytelling connect across the site, including deeper pages and transitions into product and sale-led experiences. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on audience needs, product understanding, and experience strategy. You’ll partner with Web, Design, Content, Product Marketing to build, test, and improve these journeys. This role is based in San Francisco and in office three days a week. In this role, you will: Define audience journeys. Understand visitors’ needs and create paths from discovery and learning through evaluation, adoption, and deployment. Connect the website experience. Shape navigation, information architecture, and connections across products, use cases, stories, and resources, wherever someone enters the site. Guide content and storytelling. Identify what visitors need at each stage and partner with Content and Creative to build understanding as people explore deeper. Connect self-service and human support. Make it easy to explore independently, get started, or reach the right OpenAI team when a conversation would help. Turn strategy into shipped work. Create journey maps, experience briefs, and rough wireframes. Partner with Web on a long-term roadmap and stay involved through delivery. Improve journeys over time. Use research, visitor behavior, and experimentation to find gaps and measure whether people can understand their options and take useful next steps. You might thrive in this role if you: Have 10+ years of experience leading web strategy, digital experience, UX, or product strategy, either in-house at a technology company, relevant agency and/or consultancy. Have shaped and improved complex websites, preferably for B2B technology companies, serving multiple products and audiences, with a portfolio that explains your decisions and contribution. Bring strong product judgment and can connect technical capabilities to audience needs, practical use cases, and adoption paths. Have experience in customer journeys, information architecture, navigation, and content strategy, including how storytelling works across a complete experience. Understand when self-service helps customers move forward and when a go-to-market conversation adds value. Can turn ambiguous needs into clear direction, collaborate across disciplines, and use research and experimentation to improve your work.
