About the role
Who We Are Nuro believes self-driving vehicles are the most immediate and profound opportunity for AI to drive positive change in the physical world. Safer streets, more time for what matters, and easier access to the world around us, that’s why we’re building a universal autonomy platform: self-driving for all roads and all rides. Founded in 2016, Nuro is a physical AI company developing Level 4 autonomous driving technology for a wide range of vehicles, use cases, and markets. Powered by the Nuro Driver™, our universal autonomy platform enables the global mobility ecosystem to deploy autonomy at scale, from robotaxis and logistics fleets to personal vehicles. With years of real-world deployment experience and a flexible, partner-led business model, Nuro is working toward a future where millions of autonomous vehicles powered by our technology help make everyday life safer, easier, and more connected. Nuro has raised over $2B in capital from Uber, NVIDIA, Google, Softbank, Fidelity, T. Rowe Price, and other leading investors. About the Role We are hiring an Autonomy Program Manager to help drive execution across our Autonomy team. This person will be responsible for driving forward Autonomy’s most critical efforts - including managing the validation process to test our autonomy model, planning our longer-term autonomy roadmap, and resolving issues across teams. This person will report directly to our head of Autonomy and work closely with both the Autonomy TPM team and technical leadership across the company. This person will track autonomy’s performance, manage the operating rhythm of the autonomy team, and be responsible for execution of large projects. The role is a good fit for someone who loves being at the center of a fast-paced, complex, and rapidly growing team of engineers. This person should be quick to ramp up on deeply technical topics (no autonomy experience required), comfortable leading meetings across all levels, highly organized, and an outstanding communicator with both technical and non-technical colleagues. We are looking for someone who is excited about autonomy, enjoys learning new things, and knows how to create simplicity and clarity in complex situations. About the Work Own technical program execution for Nuro’s autonomy team - working closely with Autonomy engineers, technical program managers, and directly supporting the Head of Autonomy. Build and maintain Autonomy’s long-term roadmap - the new driving capabilities we will build and when they will land. Identify issues early, help teams make tradeoffs, and drive problems to resolution. Create clear updates for leaders on progress, risks, and key decisions. Build strong working relationships across Nuro and within the Autonomy team. Use data and judgment to support decision-making and measure progress over time. About You 5+ years of experience in consulting, program management, or business operations. Engineering degree. Experience leading complex, cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders. Bonus Points Experience in aerospace, automotive, autonomy, robotics, mobility, AI, hardware/software, or other technical industries. At Nuro, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected base pay range is between $176,400 and $264,600 for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package.
